The 2026 Tesseract Hackathon is live now through August 31st!

We’re back with another virtual hackathon, this time featuring our biggest prize pool yet. Compete across five tracks for $20,000 in prizes, either as a solo builder or in a team of up to 4 people. To learn more about the challenge and register to participate, head to Tesseract Hackathon 2026 | Pasteur Labs.

  • Compose a differentiable scientific workflow from multiple Tesseracts, and use end-to-end gradients to solve a real design, inference, or training problem.
  • Select from five different tracks: inverse design & shape optimization; multi-physics & coupled systems; hybrid ML + mechanistic models; differentiable inference & UQ; and differentiable graphics & rendering.
  • A strong entry could form the basis of your next publication: novel composition, a working method, and results to show are already most of what a research paper needs.
  • All are welcome, including PhD students, postdocs, research engineers, industry researchers, and enthusiastic tinkerers.

We’ll be hosting an optional weekly office hour where you can ask questions and get support from hackathon organizers and the Tesseract team. Head over to the Tesseract Hackathon 2026 forum section ( Tesseract Hackathon 2026 - Tesseract Forums ) where we’ll be posting updates throughout the build period.

Looking forward to seeing what you build!
